Recently, as the number of calls such as suspicious nuisance calls and phishing scam SMS has increased, I have installed the Phonebook Navi app that allows you to identify and block calls from your phone.
Up until now, if you receive a suspicious call on your smartphone,PC version of phone book navigation I was checking the source of the call, but it became a hassle to check it on my PC every time, so I decided to install the app.
The smartphone I mainly use is the Galaxy S24, but for phone settings, I have enabled "Message Memo Settings," which automatically answers after 15 seconds and records the other person's message. This function is not included in the iPhone SE2, which is used as a sub-unit.

The features of the app "Phonebook Navi" are as follows:
"Telephone Book Navi" is an app that displays information obtained from Phone Book Navi, even if the number is not registered on your smartphone, and is a convenient app that allows you to identify the source of nuisance calls or unknown numbers.
This app has the following features:
- Display caller information when incoming calls: Even if the phone number is not registered, the database is checked to display caller information in real time.
- Annoying phone warning:A warning will be displayed on numbers that may be nuisance calls based on user reports.
- Number search function: You can search for numbers you have called in the past or numbers you are interested in, and check the caller's information.
- Analyzing incoming call history: You can check your call history all at once and sort unknown numbers.
- Number block function (Android version): Block unwanted sales and fraudulent calls.
The new features are as follows:
・Added call rejection function by country of the world / 206 regions around the world (Inmarsat compatible)
・Added call rejection function at toll free number
・Added call rejection function for IP phones
- By transferring a landline phone to a smartphone with Phonebook Navi installed, you can also determine incoming calls from landline phones. (No additional equipment required, free use) For more information, please see the "Menu>Frequently Asked Questions" section of the app.
All of the above features are free to use.
This app is particularly popular for preventing nuisance calls, and is a useful tool for those who are worried about receiving calls from unknown numbers. If you're interested, why not give it a try?
According to a review of this app, there are issues that interfere with the call screening function and the problem is that it is difficult to tell whether the pop-up screen when incoming calls is real-time or not.
However, compared to carrier-provided nuisance phone call prevention apps (paid) it provides a highly accurate judgment with an overwhelming amount of information, allowing you to display not only nuisance phone calls but also information from companies and public institutions.
Additionally, the SMS filtering function that prevents phishing scams is also available free of charge, making it used by many administrative agencies and corporations.

If you would like to automatically reject nuisance calls, we will respond with a paid version.
If you are using the free version, check the call source information in the call history and manually block it.
Incoming calls from the phonebook navigation
Calls from Phonebook Navi will pop up as shown below (the screen is taken from the Google Play app). You can check the sender information in real time.
The gallery below shows a pop-up screen that calls from an iPhone and displays an incoming call on a Galaxy S24 device, and a pop-up screen that shows an incoming call history on a Galaxy S24 device that appears after you hang up the phone on the iPhone.
As you can see, you can tell whether the pop-up screen is incoming or whether it's a history. In addition, the pop-up screen for incoming calls shown in the label will also display information about the caller if there is a problem with the caller, such as a nuisance call.
