The birthday event for the master of the izakaya "Lemon" in Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture was scheduled to be held from July 30th (Thursday) to August 2nd (Sunday), 2026, so I visited Lemon on Sunday, August 2nd at the invitation of a friend.

The outline of Lemon is as follows. We are usually closed on Sundays.

Lemon, located about a 3-minute walk from the north exit of Hiratsuka Station, is open from late at night until early in the morning. This is a cozy izakaya/snack-style restaurant that is open until the end of the day. This is a hidden restaurant that is popular among locals, where you can enjoy delicious drinks, handmade a la carte dishes, fresh sashimi, and more, as well as karaoke late at night.

Access and basic information

  • Address: Junes III 1F, 4-11 Beniyacho, Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture
  • Access: Approximately 3 minutes walk from the north exit of Hiratsuka Station
  • Business hours: 18:00-5:00 the next day (or 6:00)
  • Closed: Sunday
  • Number of seats: Approximately 20 seats (counter seats and table seats available)

Features and atmosphere

  • Open late night: Since it is open until morning, it is convenient for refilling drinks late at night or visiting the second or third restaurant.
  • A homely space: There are counter and table seats, and it is crowded with regular customers and local personalities.
  • Fully equipped with karaoke: As the night progresses, it becomes a fun snack-like atmosphere, and you can even enjoy karaoke.

At the event, a special plan was offered: ``all-you-can-drink with homemade food for 5,000 yen'' as shown below, which was a very reasonable price. The draft beer in the photo was also all-you-can-drink.

However, it was my buddy's first visit in two years, and as you can see in the gallery below, he did a great job pouring out 5-6 bottles of champagne (Dom Perri, Belle Époque, Moët White, Orichan, etc. in total!?).

According to the master (lemon papa), his policy is that champagne tastes better when eaten with food, so he always serves food at events.
It's true that drinking goes better when you're eating delicious food, and talking with a master who's a good listener makes you feel even better, and you end up loosening your purse strings and pouring out champagne. He's a master of business as expected.
Anyway, as for me, I'll drink as much as I like.
Next time, I would like to visit you again when I feel like it, so please be gentle with me. Thank you for the meal.

P.S. Due to an unscheduled visit, I was wearing casual clothes, so in the gallery above, I changed my outfit to a dress on ChatGPT 🙇‍♀️
