The other day, i raised the platform to run this blog system (WordPress 4.9.4) from PHP version 5.3.3 to PHP5.6.
The purpose of the version upgrade is to eliminate the incompatibility problem of various WordPress plug-ins, such as the following example.

With this version up, php execution type becomes FastCGI, it seems to have become faster than ever.
Originally, i would like to aim to upgrade to PHP7 was aimed at faster, but some of the themes and plug-ins do not support PHP7, for the time being, I want to operate in PHP5.6.
In the future, while testing the compatibility of plug-ins and theme programs, we plan to raise the latest version PHP7 or higher (DB is MySQL5.6 or higher) recommended by WordPress.org.
Along with this work, today, the WordPress theme program has also been upgraded to the latest version. This might work with PHP7 as well. 😅
In this maintenance, the display method of "Blog", "News", and "Gallery" in the main menu has also been changed.
In the past, the archive would not be displayed unless you clicked the link, but today's hotfix fixes allow you to immediately display the archive as soon as you press the menu button.

Today, I raised the version of PHP from PHP5.6 to PHP7.1!
In addition, the plug-in to support the display on the feature phone (galacay) "ktai-style” does not support PHP version 7.0/7.1, so we have decided to stop the ktai-style service from today along with the server upgrade. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to Garake users. 🙏
