I was deceived by a Chinese trader on Amazon, so I re-purchased "OXILOOK", a pulse oximeter for corona countermeasures from Rakuten, from a Japanese distributor.

For corona countermeasures and daily health management, we purchased the pulse oximeter "OXILOOK" shown below from Rakuten Ichi market. The purchase price is 6,600 yen (tax included, free shipping). ⇒ 【Rakuten market】 OXI LOOK Oxilook

The manufacturer of this equipment is a company called Fujita Optical (FUJIKON) in Japan. For the time being, I bought it because it is not a Chinese company and it seems to be okay to look at the review.
This shop is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but when I ordered it on Saturday, I received the product three days later on Tuesday. Because there is plenty of stock, if you order in the morning of the business day, it seems that the product will arrive the next day.

I will talk about the details later, but I purchased a product that is listed as Made in Japan on Amazon, but it is shipped from China, and after 10 days, the product did not arrive and I could not contact the seller, so when I contacted Amazon by phone, I found a scam, so I asked Amazon for a refund.

As for the pulse oximeter, as described in the following blog, MD300CN350 was loaned from Kanagawa Prefecture Medical Treatment Support due to corona infection, but it was returned to Kanagawa Prefecture due to the end of the home treatment period.
Therefore, I decided to purchase it after thinking about daily health management and future things.

Oxilook purchased this time has not obtained Japanese medical device certification. If you want to search rakuten market for pulse oximeters that have obtained medical device certification, I think that it is good to refer to the following link.

About OXILOOK

OXIlook is sold by Fujikon, a Japanese medical device distributor, and the manufacturer is IMDK (Medical Tecnology.CO., Ltd.) in China.
This product is not certified as a Japanese medical device, but it has obtained the certification of the standard conformity mark "CE" which is attached to the one that meets the standards of the EU member state.

When you open the package, in addition to the strap of the main unit and accessories, english and Japanese instruction manuals are included as follows. The initial setting of this unit is described in the English manual, but I think that there is no problem with the default setting in operation.

Oxilook can be used immediately as follows by opening the back cover and installing two AAA batteries.
Here are the items that appear on the LEDs:

1. Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) ... The amount of oxygen in the blood is called SpO2, and the value is expressed in %. In general, it is normal if it is in the range of 96 to 99% at rest.Less than 95% are suspected of respiratory failure and less than 90% need oxygen treatmentIt has been..
2. Perfusion Index (PI) ... Pi values decrease as the amount of arteries circulating at the fingertips decreases. In order to measure the exact value, it is desirable to have a PI value of 1.0 or higher.
3. Battery level ... Represents the remaining battery life.
4. Pulse diagram ... Pulse waves represent the volumetric changes in blood vessels that occur as the heart sends blood.
5. Pulse Rate (PR) ... It represents the number of times the heart beats per minute.
6. Pulse amplification intensity ... Represents the strength of the amplitude of the detected pulse.

To measure with a pulse oximeter, insert your index finger deep into the clip with the nail face up and press the power button.
Since the sensor is located at the back of the clip, it is necessary to put the index finger to the farthest part of the clip in order to measure correctly.
When the measurement value is displayed, you can change the display direction (4 directions) of the LED every time you press the power button.

The part of the clip where you put your finger in the clip is not metal but silicone rubber material (MD300CN350 is metal), so there is no cold feel.
When measuring, it seems that the hand is cold / peel / manicure / there is a case that does not react if there is a color change of the nail because of illness, so I think that it is very good to perform accurate measurement that the contact part is not cold metal.

The alarm function is turned on by default for oxilook settings.
According to the description of the English manual, when the value of SpO2 is 90 or less, the PR value is 60 or less, or 130 or more, a beep code is heard and an alarm is displayed. You can change this setting by pressing the power button for at least 0.5 seconds.
As for the feeling used so far, the operation seems to be more stable than the pulse oximeter "MD300CN350" lent from Kanagawa Prefecture.

The accuracy of oxilook's SpO2 value is ±2% for the value. The MD300CN350 has the same accuracy.
Therefore, if the measurement value is in the range of 96 to 98%, I think that it is good to adopt 97% of the average value. The measurements are not constant in any pulse oximeter and change over time.

Finally, if you say greed in the operability of OXIlook, when you put your finger in the clip, you can slope the LED, but if this slope becomes a little more level, the measurement value will be easier to see. The MD300CN350 also increases the fingertips when you put your finger in the clip, so the LED slope is moderate, so the measurement value is easy to see.

2021.02.13 Added
The accuracy of the SpO2 ± checked for a pulse oximeter of less than 1%. There may be others, but there was fc-P01 (made in China) of the following Japanese medical device manufacturer "FujiContec".
However, there is also a point that the measurement value of SpO2 is strange in rakuten's review, and after all, it is made in China, so I do not think that you should trust the posted specifications as it is.
Personally, I'm not good at red LED character display...

About MD300CN350

I investigated the pulse oximeter "MD300CN350" loaned from Kanagawa Prefecture Medical Treatment Support.

On the back of the main body, there is a description that the manufacturing and sales company "Stock Company Chainga", but it is actually made in China, and it seems to be an OEM product from a Chinese company. However, we have obtained Japanese medical device certification.
At Rakuten market, it was sold for 9,350 yen as follows. A pouch strap is also included as an accessory.
I do not think that the performance is so good, but it seems to be selling very well because there is an endorsement from the government office.

Looking at the spec table, spo2 and PR accuracy are equivalent to OXILOOK, but there is no alarm function.
The measurement screen of the MD300CN350 is shown below. The basic operation method is similar to OXILOOK, but the measurements are somey unstable and do not seem to perform better than OXIlook.

Being deceived by a Chinese trader on Amazon

At first, I thought that it would be cheap and I should be able to measure as it is, so I searched for the keyword "Pulse Oximeter Made in Japan" on Amazon and purchased the appropriate one as follows.
However, even after 10 days, the product did not arrive and I could not contact the seller. In the product description, there is a description that it is made in Japan, but if you think about it normally, you can not buy medical equipment made by Japan for 1,250 yen. 😓
After ordering, when I checked the delivery status, it was shipped from China, so I noticed that it was suspicious at this time. After a while, the page of the ordered product has been erased and I can no longer contact the seller.
So when I contacted Amazon's customer service, they recognized me as a fraud and asked for a refund.

Again, as follows on Amazon, I searched by "Pulse Oximeter Made in Japan", and it was all a Chinese distributor. If you buy those items, they won't arrive, or at best they're fake or bad.
Amazon Marketplace is occupied by unscrupulous Chinese vendors, and Amazon seems to be burning its hands, but with scam sales being made on new accounts one after another, it seems difficult to eliminate.
Therefore, I think that it is wise to avoid amazon marketplaces as much as possible to purchase on Amazon, and to choose only products that Amazon sells and ships.

About pulse oximeter made in Japan

At Rakuten, I searched for pulse oximeters made in Japan from the genre list.
Parxie Plus EC100D (Tri-N-E Co., Ltd., 25,740 yen), Fa Impulse SP2 (Terumo / 44,500 yen), pulse fit BO-650 (Nippon Precision Measuring Instruments Co., Ltd. / 18,400 yen) were included as follows. When I searched by other genres, MightySat 59-130 (Nipro / 42,000 yen) was also displayed.
The price is the lowest pulse fit BO-650 (18,400 yen) of Nippon Precision Measuring Instrument Co., Ltd., but in terms of specifications, it is the same as OXIlook and MD300CN350.
The pulse oximeter made in Japan is a sober monochrome display compared to the flashy OLED color display made in China, and I think that it is not necessary to buy something so expensive to use at home.
